The Circus Stachamoose Have you ever dreamed of a world that is different?
Where life is celebrated with enthusiasm... ...and where the simplest things are enjoyed and looked upon with fascination? That's where the brothers Stachamoose come from. They have travelled far and wide, bringing strange and wondrous things with them from along the way. This is their circus, their home, their story. Come join us for a while. Who knows? Maybe there’s a Stachamoose in you too! Your Man’s Puppets were a huge hit last year at our festival, and we are delighted to welcome them back again with their new show. ”The Circus Stachamoose” introduces us to the theatrical delights from the intrepid Stachamoose brothers. These suspiciously similar-looking brothers display an energetic mix of physical comedy and manual dexterity using a nicely balanced blend of mischievous humour and accomplished puppeteer skills. It’s as nice a slice of surreal humour as you're likely to witness this year. The two central characters are portrayed with warmth tempered with a subtle sense of the ridiculous, the show a winner from the word go. Skilfully chaotic and delivered with great verve, this is a family-friendly show, for children and adults of all ages. saturday 1st June 1pm marquee

Killaloe Sailing Club, established in 1973, is a non-profit, volunteer run dinghy sailing club, located 6km from the twin villages of Killaloe, County Clare and Ballina, County Tipperary, on the western shore of Ireland’s beautiful Lough Derg.
The club offers individuals and families the opportunity to enjoy dinghy sailing on the lake, in a safe environment, at whatever pace or level they wish. From the complete novice looking to establish the basics and just enjoy being out on the water, to the experienced sailor looking for the adrenalin of competitive racing.
Killaloe Sailing Club is affiliated to the Irish Sailing Association, and membership of the club is open to anybody of any age with an interest in dinghy sailing, whether they are experienced or novice, with their own boat, or without. There is a tremendously friendly atmosphere in the club, and a warm welcome always awaits any new member. Please feel free to come along to see what it’s all about, and either give sailing a go for the first time, or return to sailing again if you haven’t been on the water in a while
We’re offering free try sailing sessions as part of the Mount Shannon Festival (all you need is a festival wristband) … bring the family and have a go! Experienced helm’s will be on hand to take you out around the bay
